Raghavan began teaching yoga in 1972 after being certified as a                                          Yogi Sironami by Swami Vishnudevananda, his mentor and spiritual                                                 teacher at the Sivananda Ashram - a branch of the Divine Light Society                                             from the Himalayas - established in Val Morin, Canada.

Beginning in the 1960s Raghavan studied under Swami Satchidananda, Swami Rama, B.K.S. Iyengar, and others. In 1973, Raghavan opened his first Yoga Center, The Scientific Yoga Center, in Westwood, CA. Later, in need of a larger place, the Scientific Yoga Center moved to Venice at the Design Center Building and remained through the early eighties. Raghavan Classical Yoga Teacher training certification TTC began in Venice in the 1970's and continues today in Santa Monica

 

Raghavan teaches yoga in Santa Monica and privately.

Twice per year Raghavan offers 16 week classical Yoga

and advanced Yoga Teacher trainings
